KELLY SIN
Founder | Change Catalyst
We are a collective of like-minded and passionate individuals working together with one purposeful vision, Feeding the Change through creative, impactful and relatable communications.
We want to leverage on our talents (we promise we have many!) and unique skills, attributes and passions to bring our vision to life- Shaping the Sustainable World of tomorrow.
We believe that collaborative effort is the superpower needed to ignite a change, and it takes just as little as two people to start … or in our case, three people ;) Kelly, Claudia and Chris.
Get to know this trio (aka the incredible three) and the rest of the team. *Crazy enough to think that once an idea forms in your mind, it is just few steps away from becoming reality!
P.S. Keep watching this space, you could be featured too!
Founder | Change Catalyst
Because 17 years ago she founded Urban Air and ever since she never stopped pushing the envelope of strategic innovation across brands and organizations; just like a chemical agent, accelerating actions and processes.
Detailed minded, 101% reliable and Latte dependent!!
She can make everything happen! (within deadlines and budgets)
Cool mom to hang around (daughter’s quote) and busy with one more new master degree to add to her long list.
SDG12 because I am used to be a shopaholic or in a more beautified word a “fashionista”! But my time has come to think twice before making any purchase, simply I ask myself “do I need it” or “I just want it”! This is my way, now your turn to learn to be a responsible buyer.
A remarkable track records of academic achievements and professional accomplishments. Throughout her career, she has grown and led teams while carrying out countless number of projects from strategy development to ideation and execution (yet she still remembers each one of them) In the last decade, sustainability has become her guiding star and the relentless passion combined with her skills has helped creating projects and reports for MTR, AAHK, Swire Coca-Cola, Sands China, Langham Hospitality Group, New World China Land Ltd, and many, many, many more.
Change Strategist | Storyteller
Because every vision needs a plan and a compelling story.
Dot connector, empathic and sun-seeker (keep AC down please!)
Capturing a wish and making it happen.
On a mat practicing stillness and off the mat, kindness.
SDG4 because Education is the key to unlock any change.
Two decades spent in the fashion and luxury goods industry, assisting brands and corporations to create impactful strategies and progressive branding propositions, in other words a brand and retail alchemist. A relentless curiosity and passion to experiment and walk the extra mile (while also building “Asia miles” with her globetrotting track record), to find purposes beyond taglines. In the past few years, caring for the planet and the people has become her big purpose, and writing a “good” story to share and pass on to the next generations, is her mission, at heart.
Founder | Creative Specialist
Because he was forced to drop the idea of Intergalactic Creative Guru.
Graphic wizard, master of “light bulb moments” and Lego trader.
Animating even the dullest brief and dealing with the 2 ladies of the trio.
Sourcing the coolest figurines to display alongside the office awards!
SDG15 A funny guy behind a serious face :) Because life on land can be tough at times, but always a great adventure… and you need to be equipped for it… hence he is the only one wearing shoes among all heroes :)
Since his graduation, more than 20 years ago, he has never stopped creating and reinventing design, pushing boundaries, challenging norms and shifting graphic identities forwards. He is never afraid to dare (trust us, lots of discussions take place in the office!) but his instinct and business acumen never fail to turn creative seeds into blossoming successes. A lot of accolades and awards have marked his career, but what makes him genuinely proud is teaching at university to the next generation of game changers. His secret to be the most memorable in the room… he can turn any project into a wonderland adventure!!
Senior Project Specialist
Organizing. Staying cool under pressure and clearing things up, while handling projects on time! Bravo!!!
Being their buddy guru, always calm and peaceful. My secret? I believe every problem can be solved.
I want to deepen my knowledge about the SDG and share it with friends and family, spreading more awareness and ideas via social media to come together and making changes!
SDG5. As a woman, I care a lot about gender equality and I am sure that by raising awareness around this topic will impact and empower girls and women more.
Senior Project Specialist
Multi-tasking (no one can have more tabs open on the computer than me!!) and memorizing, test me if you can!!
My vintage soul (I told you I have a great memory!) Despite my “young” age, I know so many old movies, songs and slangs … a sort of walk down memory lane, just at times I mix few things up and put a smile on everybody’s face!
No more single use plastic (focus on drinks and take away food) and eating less red meat.
SDG14 because I love what I learnt from The Hong Kong Ocean Park … and let’s face it, oceans are beautiful even if you are not a mermaid!
Graphic Designer/ Animator
Learning new stuff. I love graphic design, and I know I have a lifetime learning journey ahead of me… this is so exciting! But while I learn I am also proudly delivering my job on time!
Craving for information. My curiosity always pushes me to discover and experiment new skills
Keep learning more to empower myself and those around me.
SDG3, Because health keeps my energy and passion running high all the time.
Senior Graphic Designer
Drawing (no bias!). I am just super passionate about enhancing aesthetics and design.
Voice crack (if you PM me, I will drop you and audio message and you can hear it)
I want to go paperless, transitioning my drawings from paper to electronic and mural format. Saving trees and space at the same time. Perhaps it will start as a hobby then will turn into my new habit.
SDG6, because clean water and sanitation directly affect our life, it is the first and essential step to sustainable development.
Senior Graphic Designer
Listening. It helps me to analyse and develop clear ideas which turns into designs.
Online shopping! I am a human “search engine” from snacks, drinks or popular items, I will always find the deal and make tea time a treat.
Shop wisely, but no worry, my colleagues will still benefit from my shopping skills. My plan is to shop more responsibly by paying attention to the manufacturer and how the production process takes place.
SDG16, because Freedom of speech and "the free flow of ideas by words and images” it is vital to human as much as to the creative and design industry.
Senior Project Specialist
Brainstorming. I love to mingle with people, ignite creative conversations and come up with awesome ideas … best if fuelled by some savoury snacks!
Annoying Deep❤ (prove that women are from Venus and man from Mars).
Drink less single-packaged coffee (a win-win for plastic reduction and my caffeine level), eat less meat and bike more.
SDG3, because I am a strong advocate of keeping our body healthy (check out the rugby pitch, you will find me there on weekends).
Senior Graphic Designer
Rethinking the creative process. I like to think of design as a tool to inspire and broaden minds, and not just a job deliverable.
Working quietly. Sometimes my colleagues think I hibernated in a different dimension.
Sharing social media posts about climate change and the impact that humans have on the environment. Promote and encourage my friends and family to participate to sustainability/environmental campaigns. And perhaps even create my own campaign if there isn’t one matching my purpose.
SDG14. I love my blue ocean, I love everything that comes from the sea (including the fresh breeze) and I am Pisces, so my marine attitude it is also written in the stars!! At times, I really feel like being a fish misplaced on land and I imagine the ocean flowing in my body, but after all we are made up of about 70% of water!
Art Director
Maximizing space, both for work and leisure. Let me explain... when it comes to work I am the master of fitting effortlessly loads of content into small "area", and when it comes to leisure my skills truly shine when it is time to pack my luggage. (Working on some tutorials to share my secrets!)
Obsessions for details and taking a second (third, forth, and more...) look before handing in the project.
To me the foundation for sustainable achievements is an accountable, transparent and equitable system, otherwise it is simply greenwashing. From this year onwards, I am committed to bring more justice and fairness within my community to make sustainability happen.
SDG16, because once again for me it is about peace, justice and strong institutions. If there is justice in the society, all other sixteen goals will be easier to reach. (words of wisdom, from the senior guy in the team!)
Project Development Manager
I am still discovering my true specialty, meanwhile I think I am pretty good at almost anything. Hahaha...
Finding all answers on the internet. I believe for any question there is an answer, and I am a search engine wizard, hence people always come to me and I am happy to find out the answer.
Murphy's law states: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong". Kenny’s law states: “Identify what can go wrong and find out the solution to overcome and make it right”. This is my sustainable goal.
SDG17 Global partnership. An ancient sayings goes: "One depends on one’s parents while at home; One depends on one’s friends while away from home." It really sums it all up for me, because networking is essential for a good outcome but also for a good feel factor, as I believe that If you can’t share with others, everything becomes meaningless.
Digital Developer
Acting quick - my hand is quicker than my brain! Oh and also murmuring, I can be an endless playlist.
Being a deadline fighter. To me, nothing is impossible!
Reduce plastic waste in our daily lives, because it is one of the most difficult materials to decompose and it is harmful to marine organism in the world. My plan to contribute is to reuse plastic bottles, recycle plastic boxes, avoid any disposable plastic tableware and use my own glass box for takeaway.
SDG14 – Splashy the Diver, because marine organisms are so mystic to me, and some of them are also so beautiful and friendly to humans! They are important for a balanced life-cycle in our world, I really think we need them and we should love them!
Research Guru
At picking up new hobbies: I started bboying and learning Spanish last fall. Recently, I’ve been wanting to start learning the trumpet! As for why…my question is “Well, why not?
Doodling and sketching a lot! Sometimes it’s a design, and sometimes I just feel like drawing cats.
To gradually move towards a plant-based diet – if I can contribute to a more sustainable future whilst still enjoying my favourite strawberries, I’m all for it!
SDG10 – Reducing inequalities is a pivotal part of ensuring progress in all 17 SDGs. Let’s ensure good lives not just for you and me, but for all the people on this planet!
